Available in two models:
Standard Door Strike (#5190) — This model can be powered with either 8-16VAC (250mA) or 3-6VDC (900mA). When operating off AC power, the door strike will produce a buzzing sound while power is applied. When operating off DC power, a gentle `click` is heard.
12-Volt Door Strike (#519012) — This model is designed ideally for 12VDC power, although we were able to make it work from as little as 8VDC. In this configuration, the strike draws about 400mA and produces a gentle `click` sound when triggered.
Both versions are reversible for left-or right-handed doors. Once installed, the door can still be operated using a key. Both strikes remain locked when un-powered. Polished brass finish. Face dimensions: 1 5/8' x 3 1/2'. Case dimensions: 1' x 1 7/8' x 3'.
· Unlock doors in other parts of the house without getting up · Great for homes where the front door is on a different level than the main living area · Polished brass finish
Increase home security and let visitors in more easily with these electric door strikes that replace your existing strike plate with an electro-mechanical release mechanism. Your visitors will be able to push or pull the door open when power is applied. You can also connect them to a keypad, alarm system or other entry system.
